Jo Clements is an artist whose work and PhD research is concerned with pedagogic films and their re-appropriation. Jo will screen ‘orphan’ film clips – motion pictures abandoned by their owners. Rescued, often found in obscure archives or private collections, car boot sales, junk shops, etc., they are mended digitally. Her ‘film’ is a montage of these ‘mended’ films, describing states of ‘brokenness.’
